Driving Diversity by Tackling Unconscious Bias Training Course

Overview

Whether you engage in hiring, managing internal transitions, or nurturing early-career talent, understanding and addressing biases are essential for fostering inclusivity and informed decision-making.

Unconscious bias profoundly influences decision-making, often resulting in missed opportunities to create a diverse & inclusive workforce. In this interactive workshop, participants will explore distinct types of unconscious bias through real life examples, gaining insights into how bias impacts our judgment.

We will walk you through day-to-day situations where bias plays a role, fostering a deeper understanding of its effects and then equip participants with actionable strategies to create a fair and positive work environment. Participants will learn tools to challenge internal stereotypes within their workplace.

Resources

No pre-course work is required.

All resources will be provided by the trainer.

Description

Over the course of the day, we explore a range of topics linked to Unconscious Bias:

Exploring the different forms of Unconscious Bias

Whether it's Confirmation Bias, the Horn/Halo effect, Beauty Bias or Authority Bias, they all make an impact in our judgement and decision-making process.

Recognising & identifying our own biases

To identify and analyse where our own biases lie on a day-to-day basis and the impact this has on our daily lives.
